Stormy nights as liveaboards

The feel
Now the feel is different and I’m afraid you are in for a bit more text for that answer.
Listening to the wind howling outside. The mast vibrates as mother natures sends a fast blow your way. You are in the couch, tugged under a fat blanket. The kerosene lamp is softly swaying back and forth and sending radiant heat on you.
The boat rocks slowly in water in a few seconds delay after wind hits the mast; you feel connected with your boat. You feel what it feels.
Level of cozy is almost as high as it can get as you lie there, warm and safe under your blanket and Netflix is almost ready to start a good stream….just one thing missing. A drink!
You know you have to sacrifice 4 minutes to get the cozy level the last stretch up… You fill the kettle with water and turn on the gas….
While the water cooks you put your head up into the cockpit…enjoy the fresh air and the way your exhales makes small clouds that quickly disappear. On your skin the cold and the stray winds feels like small needles on your face.
Water is boiling; it goes through the filter…they say you shouldn’t drink coffee this late, but who cares tonight. You get snug in the couch again, the duve over you, the head as low as it can go,; and you press play.
Welcome to boat life.
